Title: Fundraiser A Success Thanks To Chamber Member Support

Funds collected at Wine Tasting for Hope to be used for Hope House Startup

On Tuesday, August 19, 2008 a fundraiser was held at Ahlara International in Mooresville called “Wine Tasting for
Hope.” The event raised a total of $3,500.00, and proceeds went directly to The Hope House Foundation. The
Hope House Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides transitional housing and support for single
women as well as mothers with children.  Located in Huntersville, the organization welcomes individuals from all
walks of life and offers stays of up to six months.  Services offered to Hope House residents include medical
treatment, social services, job search and career assessment tools and counseling, transportation and child care.

The success of the event is directly contributed to the support of many Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of
Commerce members. Jessica Keyes of Virtual Assistant Extraordinaire was the creator and organizer for the
event. A variety of other key chamber companies that helped plan the event included 3 Goats Café, Say Cheese
at the Grapevine, and Debbie Snider of eWomenNetwork. Ahlara International donated their location for the event,
and wine was partially donated by Daveste Vineyards, Iredell County’s first winery.

Other Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce Members that contributed by sponsoring, donating auction
items, and volunteering services for the event included Dee-Bee Printing, Solutions FYS Inc., J Stengel Consulting
LLC, Pompeii Dentistry, Bentz and Associates PA, EFC Builders, and Gold’s Gym of Mooresville. Special thanks to
all the businesses that helped make this event possible.

Funds and other forms of support are still needed so that “The Hope House” may be opened for those who need
